01:Tai Chi Fit in Paradise
You practice tai chi with your instructor on the beach in Hawaii, surrounded by the stunning Pacific Ocean. The practice consists of a warm-up, two training sessions, and a cool-down. You’ll softly move up and down and side to side while maintaining the traditional tai chi postures as you observe the motion of the waves and listen to their sound. Embrace the Moon, Cloud Hands, Penetrating Heaven and Earth, and more.
02:Tai Chi Fusion: Fire
This is a high-level practice that mixes tai chi and kung fu, the martial art. When combined, they create the series’ most intense workout—an intensity-focused exercise. Learn to maintain a physical practice appropriate to your body and physical skills, while bringing the fire into your mind, energy, and spirit. Examine the traditional positions of the Solitary Whip, Snake Creeping in the Grass, and other poses.
03:Tai Chi Fusion: Iron
This practice, which combines the ideas of tai chi and weightlifting, teaches contrast and attention. You will observe opposing parts of life as you practice with your weighted sticks, or with lightweight wooden spoons from your kitchen, as you choose: heavy and light, what you do and do not do, and what you notice and ignore. Examine the traditional poses of Seizing the Sparrow’s Tail and Playing the Pipa, among many others.
04:Tai Chi Fusion: Bamboo
This mild exercise program is taught by your instructor amid a gorgeous bamboo grove. By fusing tai chi and yoga in a practice that stresses surrender, you will develop kindness, compassion, and gratitude—especially toward yourself. Throughout the exercise, the two disciplines flow together smoothly and incorporate several traditional tai chi postures, such as Sinking the Chi and Fending Off the Monkey.
05:Tai Chi Fit: 24 Form
There are four different ways to work out in this varied routine, along with a warm-up and cool-down. You will learn a wide range of traditional tai chi postures, such as The Fair Maiden Weaves the Loom, The White Crane Spreads Its Wings, and Bouncing on the Toes Seven Times to Drive Away All Illness, as you follow along with your instructor at the pace and intensity that works best for you—and you will be continually encouraged to do exactly that.
06:Tai Chi Fit over 50: Balance Exercises
The American Medical Association has endorsed tai chi as the best exercise for preserving balance and preventing falls since the mid-1990s. You will be urged to perform the exercise in this program in a way that best suits your personal balancing needs, for as by holding onto a wall or even placing one finger on the back of a chair for support. You will practice the traditional postures of Old Woman Digs in the Garden and The Monkey, among others, as well as the usage of weighted tai chi balls as you develop the muscles required for balance.
07:Tai Chi Fit over 50: Seated Workout
Anybody can engage in sitting exercise for a variety of reasons. You will discover in this training that sitting tai chi may be just as helpful and difficult as standing tai chi. You will practice several of the traditional tai chi poses, such as Embracing the Moon and The Opening of Your Heart, by watching your teacher move gently from his own chair.
08:Tai Chi Fit over 60: Gentle Exercises for Beginners
The most moderate alternative for those new to tai chi, regardless of age, is offered by this program. There is nothing to learn or commit to memory, just like with the other applications in this series. Simply keep up with your teacher as he moves gently side to side and slightly up and down. His laid-back demeanor and laid-back sense of humor will make you feel right at home in this age-old method of training. You will also be practicing the traditional tai chi poses of Opening the Door and The Twisting Dragon, among others, as you follow along.
09:Tai Chi Fit over 60: Healthy Joints
While joint discomfort and inflammation can prevent us from engaging in our favorite activities, inactivity weakens the joints and sets off a downward spiral. Even short daily practices of tai chi are reported to relieve joint pain with a few basic moves. In this program, you will learn the traditional tai chi postures of Princess on the Mountaintop and Holding Up the Heavens like a Pillar, while also studying your instructor’s soft movements.
10:Tai Chi Fit over 60: Live Longer, Feel Younger
As your lecturer points out, you have to emulate those who live long, productive lives if you want to feel younger and live longer. Regular tai chi practice is undoubtedly the finest approach to care for your human machine. Your instructor encourages you to “have some fun” with his laid-back and hilarious manner as you go with your tai chi practice, learning various postures such as Sinking the Chi and Cloud Hands.
